JCCC Training Room

Providing expert care to more than 200 student-athletes, Johnson County Community College’s athletic training department has one of the most highly trained and highly skilled staffs in the country.

Under the guidance of Head Athletic Trainer Bill Buese, ATC, and associate athletic trainers Ben Edwinson and Roberta Kuechler, ATC, the JCCC athletic medicine staff consists of one lead team physician, four orthopedic surgeons, a chiropractor and a dentist. Ten athletic training students both study and work with the JCCC program before transferring to an accredited athletic training school for their B.S. in athletic training and an opportunity to sit for the national boards.

The Athletic Training staff works closely with the JCCC’s coaches in developing preventative conditioning programs, and in collaboration on rehabilitation programs. The Barbara Gill Lifetime Fitness Center also provides an often-utilized venue for therapeutic exercise. JCCC’s athletic medicine staff provides Cavalier athletes with highly trained medical care year-round.

The athletic training facility is located in the JCCC Gym building, and the training room facilities at JCCC are top quality.
