National Championships

Johnson County Community College has a great winning tradition in intercollegiate athletics. Cavalier athletic teams have won a total of 12 national titles in school history. Ten of those 11 championship have come since 2000, including JCCC’s most recent title in the spring of 2021 by the volleyball program, their second in team history. Cavalier teams have won four national titles in women’s half marathon, two in women's basketball, two in men's basketball, two in volleyball and one each in women’s cross country and women’s marathon. JCCC’s 12 total championships are tied for third highest total of the 19 programs in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.

In addition to the 12 NJCAA national championships captured by Johnson County athletic teams, the Cavaliers club weightlifting team won four national championships. The men's team won national titles in 1988, 1989 and 1991, and the women's team on a title in 1991 while competing at the National Collegiate Weightlifting Championships.
