Anthony Amicangelo transferred to JCCC from Shoreline Community College, Shorline, Wash., last spring but sat out while rehabbing a torn shoulder labrum … Coming off a successful summer playing for the Lima Locos … Has the ability to hit for power and average … Has accepted a scholarship to play at the University of South Carolina for the 2019-20 baseball season … Was ranked 62nd on the 2019 Perfect Game USA Top 300 Prospect List in 2019.

Sophomore Year 2019

Earned NJCAA All-American first-team,  All-Region VI first-team and All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference first-team honors …Also selected the team’s Most Valuable Player …  Batted .492 (91-for-185) with 23 doubles, five triples, six home runs, 62 runs and 68 RBIs … His .492 average led the conference and ranked second in the NJCAA … It also is the second-best recorded in JCCC history … Led the team in hits, doubles, RBIs, multiple-hit games with 29 and multiple-RBI games with 21 … His 91 hits and 29 multi-hit games are the third most in team history … Ranked second in the conference in hits, led the conference in doubles, tied for fifth in triples, and tied for third in RBIs … Opened the season with a 17-game hitting streak which is the sixth longest … Followed that with a record tying 24-game streak … Batted .675 over the 17-game streak (27-for-40) with five doubles, four triples, one home run, 20 runs and 17 RBIs … Started the streak with a single and triple, two runs and four RBIs in a 14-1 win at Brookhaven (2-7-19) … Had a double and triple and two RBIs in a 9-0 win over Ellsworth (2-14-19) … Had a single and home run, two runs scored, two driven in and two stolen bases in an 11-0 win over Labette (3-14-19) … Hit .485 (47-for-97) over the 24-game streak with 14 doubles, five home runs, 30 runs scored and 38 driven in … Has a single, double and triple and four RBIs in a 9-6 win over Highland (3-21-19) … Followed with two doubles and a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs in a 14-6 win over the Scotties in game two (3-21-19) … Added four more hits, including a double and home run, and four RBIs in two win at Highland the following day (4-22-19) … That series performance earned him the KJCCC Player of the Week for week seven … Had four hits, three runs and three RBIs in an 18-11 win over Allen (3-30-19) … Had another four-hit game with two runs and an RBI in an 9-2 win at Neosho County (4-20-19) … Tied the school record with five hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs in a 12-11 loss to Colby in the first bracket game at the Central District Tournament (3-15-19) ... Earned third-team NJCAA All-Academic honors with a 3.62 GPA.

Summer 2018

Played for the Lima (Ohio) Locos in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League …. Hit .336 with 10 RBI in 31 games … Earned All-Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League first-team honors and was a starting centerfielder in the league all-star game.

Freshman Year 2017

Played the 2017 season at Shoreline Community College for coach Dave Snell … Played in eight games before his season was cut short by a shoulder injury … Batted .261 (5-for-23) with a double, two RBI, five runs and six walks … The team finished the season 22-19.

Was a four-year starter for coach Terrel Hansen Bremerton High School, Bremerton, Wash … Graduated  2017 … Named to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association Class 2 All-State team his junior and senior years … Was a three-time All-Olympic League selection at shortstop, earning first-team as a senior and junior, and honorable mention as a junior … Selected Rawlings-Perfect Game honorable mention All-American and West All-Region second-team in 2016 …   Batted .429 with 14 hits, two doubles, a triple, seven runs and six driven in his freshman season … As a sophomore batted .333 with 25 hits, seven doubles, two triples, a home run, 15 runs and 11 driven in … Batted .527 with 34 hits, 10 doubles, a triple, two home run and 21 runs driven in as a junior for the Knights … His. 527 average was second-best in the state of Washington that season … His senior year hit .444 with 29 hits, seven doubles, a triple 18 runs scored and 12 driven in … For his career he collected 102 hits, 26 doubles, five triples, three homers, 63 runs and 49 RBI … Played club baseball for the West Hills Vipers … Honor roll student his junior and senior years.
