Golden named the KJCCC East Division Pitcher of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced its Baseball Players of the Week for week four and Johnson County Community College sophomore Josiah Golden was selected the Pitcher of the Week. This is first selection this season and third for his career.

The right-hander out of Higginsville, Missouri allowed only one hit and struck out six batters over four scoreless innings of work on the mound in a 10-0 five-inning victory over Pratt Sunday afternoon. With the victory, Golden improved to 2-1 on the season with 22 strikeouts in 16 innings of work and lowered his ERA to 2.81.

For his career, Golden is 12-2 overall with 102 strikeouts in 81 innings pitched.
