OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College Golden Girls Dance Team is hosting two workshops for high school and college dancers interested in trying out for the Golden Girls team. The workshops will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2020 and Sunday, March 22, 2020, in the JCCC main gymnasium.
Check-in is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., and the workshop will run from 1-4 p.m. Cost for the workshop is $15. For a cost of $25, you can participate in both workshops.
Please register by Friday, February 7, 2020, for the February 9, 2020 workshop or for both workshops. Online registration will close at 5 p.m.
Please register by Friday, March 20, 2020, for the March 22, 2020 workshop. Online registration will close at 5 p.m.,
If you miss the online registration cut-offs, please register in person with either cash or check. If you are doing walk-in registration and are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian at registration with you.
Participants are asked to wear comfortable dance attire and non-marking shoes.

Workshop includes:
• 1-2 short routines (Pom, Jazz and/or Hip-Hop)
• 1 short sideline routine and/or cheer
• Technique/progressions across the floor
• Q and A session with current Golden Girls and helpful hints about tryouts
This is a great opportunity to learn what it is like to be on a college dance team. Participants will be working with current members of the JCCC Golden Girls and have the chance to receive one-on-one attention.
