OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College men's basketball team improved to 7-0 with a 102-49 romp over University of Saint Mary JV, Tuesday night at the JCCC Gymnasium. 

The Cavaliers continued their hot shooting from two-point range, hitting 34-of-50 shots for 68 percent. They were only 6-of-20 from 3-point range, for total percentage of 57 percent. Saint Mary hit only 26 percent overall. 

Sophomore guard Macaleb Hughes led Johnson County with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. His 21-point night established a new career high, breaking his old mark of 16 set on Nov. 15 in a win over Ottawa JV. He tied his career high with 11 boards.  Hughes hit 8-of-11 shots, including a 3-pointer, and 4-of-5 free throws. He also tallied a team-high four steals and two assists. 

Also in double figures were sophomore center Lukas Milner and freshman guard Caleb Isralite with 12 each, and freshman guard Dale Talley III and sophomore guard Jackson Nicodemus each with 11.  

Freshman forward Skyler Rhoads nearly posted a double-double, finishing with seven points and 11 rebounds. 

Kobe Sifford was only player for Saint Mary in double digits, finishing with 10 points.
