JCCC men's basketball player Jaycson Bereal drives toward the basket

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County sophomore guard Jaycson Bereal has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for week 9. This is second straight week he has been selected, and third time this season.
In Johnson County's only action last week, Bereal registered his second double-double of his career, finishing with 17 points and 104 rebounds, along with four blocks, three assists and a steal. He shot an impressive 73 percent from the floor, hitting 8-of-11 shots, including one 3-point shot.
For the season he is averaging 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.3 assists and hitting 56.5 percent of his shot attempts, which ranks third in the conference.
