OVERLAND PARK,, Kan. – After opening the season with 22 straight wins, the Johnson County Community College women's basketball team has lost two straight and three of their last four games, and now find themselves in fourth place in the conference standings. 

Their most recent setback, a 69-64 home loss to cross-town rival and No. 7-ranked Kansas City Kansas City Community College. 

Johnson County trailed by six after the first quarter, but crawled back into the game and led by one after three quarters. The Lady Cavaliers even led by as many as five mid-way through the fourth, but with a two-point lead at 59-57 and 2:21 to play, the Blue Devils Nija Collier knocked down a 3-pointer to give KCKCC the lead that they would not relinquish. Prior to her bucket, she had been 0-for-6 from 3-point range. She finished with a game-high 25 on 8-of-17 shooting and 8-of-9 at the line. She also grabbed 14 rebounds, five on the offensive end. 

Three players for Johnson County finished in double figures. Freshman forward KK Jackson-Morris led the way with 21. She was 7-of-16, with three 3-pointers, and 4-of-6 at the line. She also pulled down 10 rebounds. 

Sophomore guard Jadah Anderson and sophomore forward Sydni Tears followed with 11 and 10 points respectively. 

Four games remain in the regular season, with the next two at home. They host Fort Scott Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m., and Labette Community College on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. Their final two games are on the road at Hesston College Feb. 20, and at Kansas City Kansas on Feb. 23.
