OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nick Larkin accomplished something that had only been done once prior in Johnson County Community College men's basketball history, record a triple-double. His 10 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assist gave JCCC its first triple-double since 2009 and an 87-52 win over Kansas City Kansas Community College. 

With 8-mintues, 3-seconds remaining, Lark hit a pair of free throws to give him 10 points on the night, and secure his place in team lore. 

The other four starters for the Cavaliers also finished in double figures scoring. Sophomore David Turner led all player with 18 points. He was 8-of-10 from the field, increasing his field goal percentage for the season to 68.6 percent, third-best in the NJCAA Division II. He also has seven rebounds and three blocked shots. He now has 66 blocks on the season, fifth-most for a season at JCCC, and has 127 for his career, which is No. 2 all-time. 

Also reaching double digits were sophomore guard General Williams with 13, and freshman guard JaQuaylon Mays and freshman forward Isiah Sears each with 10 points. 

Johnson County shot 50 percent in the first half which helped build a 21-piont lead, 43-21, at the break. They continued to build on that margin in the season half. 

With the win, the Cavaliers improve to 22-4 on the season, and are tied for first with Highland in the conference race at 5-1. 

Four games remain in the regular season, with the next two at home. They host Fort Scott Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m., and Labette Community College on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. Their final two games are on the road at Hesston College Feb. 20, and at Kansas City Kansas on Feb. 23.
