OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Brecken Hoy, the leading scorer in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, was at the center of nearly every scoring play as the No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 victory over Allen Community College in the opening round of the Region 6 playoffs.

Hoy assisted on Johnson County's first and third goals and scored the second to lead the Cavaliers' attack. She set up Carmen Duarte in the 34th minute with a pinpoint cross to give JCCC an early advantage, then extended the lead in the 52nd minute by finishing a pass from Carson Sloan. Hoy capped her outstanding performance with another assist in the 70th minute, connecting with Ashley Chaput on a corner kick to make it 3-0.

Hoy now has 47 points on the season, including 14 goals and 19 assists.

The Cavaliers added their final tally in the 75th minute when Riggs Kuhn and Tatam Bresette combined on a play to seal the 4-0 result.

Goalkeepers Avery Young and Lena-Marie Winkler shared the clean sheet. Young earned the victory, stopping both shots she faced over the first 70 minutes, while Winkler made one save in the final 20 minutes to preserve the shutout.
