OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the third time this season, Johnson County Community College sophomore Pedro Ivaskoski has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Men's Goalkeeper of the Week. He earned the week 9 honor after going 14-for-14 in save opportunities last week. He also was the week 4 and week 5 winner.
Ivaskoski saved eight shots and held Coffeyville scoreless, but in the 83rd minute he suffered a head injury and had to be replaced. The Cavaliers held on for a 2-1 win. Three days later at Neosho County, he saved all six shots he faced and picked up fourth shutout of the season.
