OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Four members from the Johnson County Community College men's soccer team were among those selected to the All-Region VI for 2019.

First-team was awarded to freshman defender Chavoy Malcolm, who was also selected as Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the East Jayhawk Conference Division. sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Ivaskoski, sophomore forward Marcos Vinicius and sophomore midfielder Brad Tulley were second-team selections. They helped the Cavaliers to a 12-6-1 record and a runner-up finish in the Plains District Tournament. 

Malcolm was part of a defensive unit that posted a goals against average of 1.14, fifth-best in the league, with seven shutouts, which were the third-most in the KJCCC. He also registered three goals and an assist for seven points. His third score proved to be the game-winner in a 2-0 win over Rich Mountain in the Plains District semifinals. 

Ivaskoksi finished 12-6-1 with six full shutouts, one shared shutout, 121 saves and with a goals against average of 1.19. He played in 1,893-minutes, 20-seconds and posted a save percentage of .829. He led the conference for the second straight season in minutes played, starts and saves. He also tied for the conference lead in wins, second in shutouts, third in save percentage and fifth in GAA.  Ivaskoski also led the nation in minutes played and games started, and he ranked fifth nationally in saves and tied for sixth in shutouts. Four times during the season Ivaskoski was selected the KJCCC Goalkeeper of the Week, earning the honor in weeks  4, 5, 9 and 10. For his career, Ivaskoski finished with a 21-14-4 record and seven shutouts. He logged 3,6011-minutes, 26-second, which is a new career record at JCCC. He also set a new career mark for saves with 250 and ranks second all-time in career wins. 

Vinicius, who was also a first-team all-conference selection last year, finished the season with two goals and a team-leading seven assists for 11 points, third-most on the team. He ranked second with four game-winning assists, which ties him for third on JCCC's season chart. 

Tulley tallied seven goals, six assists for 20 points in 2019, second-best on the team in all three categories.  He led the team with five game-winning assists, which is the second highest total in team history. Tulley tied for 14^th in the conference in goals, tied for sixth in assists and tied for 11^th in points.
