OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore pitcher Kerrigan Dixon mowed down a career high 12 batters, and Emily Fox, the current KJCCC Player of the Week, drove in three runs to power the Lady Cavaliers to a 6-3 victory over No. 5-ranked Des Moines Area Community College, Wednesday, March 20. 

Dixon allowed three runs off eight hits in seven innings of work. Her 12-strikeout effort tops her previous best strikeout performance of six against Ranger in the season opener, and against Hesston last season. She also had an RBI double. 

Fox's two hits were a single and a double. Her three RBI tie her second-best game of the season. Her top effort was seven driven in at Allen last week. 

Freshman left fielder Ivy Brewer also had two hits in the win, and drove in a season-high two runs.
