OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the second time this season, Johnson County Community College sophomore right-handed pitcher Kerrigan Dixon has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Division II Conference Pitcher of the Week. 

Dixon earned the week seven honor after she hurled a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Neosho County Sunday afternoon. Her nine strikeouts are the second-best single game total over her two seasons at JCCC. She currently ranks in the top-10 in the conference for wins and strikeouts, and leads the conference with a 1.45 earned run average. 

Dixon won her first pitcher of the week award in week four this season.  As a freshman, she earned her first pitcher of the week award also in week seven.
