OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman forward Kayla Ambrose has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for week 5. Chaira Soergel of Hutchinson Community College was selected the Goalkeeper of the Week.                          

Ambrose scored four of JCCC five goals over three matches last week. She tallied both scores in a 3-2 loss to Kansas City Kansas. She had the second goal in a 2-0 win over Coffeyville, and netted the game-tying goal in a 1-1 double overtime tie against Southwestern Illinois. For the season, Ambrose leads the team in goals scored with eight and points with 17.
