OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore forward Kayla Brashear scored two second half goals to power the Lady Cavaliers to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over No. 13-ranked Butler Community College Saturday evening at PG Product Veterans Sports Complex in El Dorado, Kan. It was JCCC's first win at Butler since Oct. 6, 2007, a span of 12 years.  The Lady Cavaliers lost at home 1-0 earlier this season.

Butler got on the board first on a goal by Alyssa Stewart in the 22nd minute, but just over a minute into the second half, Brashear cashed in on her first scoring opportunity, tying the match a 1-1.  Sophomore midfielder Aina Blanch-Lopez was credited with the assist.

Brashear netted the go-ahead score in the 79th minute, and Johnson County's defense and freshman goalkeeper Olivia Ways kept the Grizzlies in check the rest of the way to secure the win. Brashear's game-winner was her fourth of the season, which ties for the conference lead. She also leads the team in points with 23 and is tied for the team lead in goals scored with 10.

Ways faced five shots, and saved four to improve her record to 5-4-1. She also lowered her goals against average to 1.17, fifth-best in the conference, and her save percentage to .824, fourth-best in the KJCCC.
