OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – After posting a pair of victories last week, including a 2-1 road win over No. 13-ranked Butler, Johnson County Community College women's soccer swept the week seven honors for Kansas Jayhawk Conference Player and Goalkeeper of the Week.  

Sophomore forward Kayla Brashear was awarded the Offensive Player of the Week, and freshman Olivia Ways earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors. 

Brashear scored JCCC's second goal in a 5-0 home win over Allen, and capped the week two second half goals to power the Lady Cavaliers to a 2-1 upset win at No. 13-ranked Butler on Saturday evening.  This was her fourth game-winning goal of the season, which ties for the lead in the conference. She also leads JCCC with 23 points and is tied in goals scored with 10. 

Ways earned both wins last week. She opened the week with a shutout over Allen. She saved all four shots she faced in 77:40 in net. She capped the week with a 2-1 win over No. 13 Butler. She allowed one first half goal while saving four shots. Ways lowered her goals against average to 1.17, fifth-best in the conference, and her save percentage to .824, fourth-best in the KJCCC.
