A legacy to the program, Paul Choi is a technical center midfielder who can generate offense and be a threat every time he touches the ball.

Freshman Year 2021

Earned All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division second-team …Played in 16 matches, 15 as a starter … Was part of JCCC’s defensive pool in the midfield area that allowed 34 goals, a goals against average of 1.97 with two shutouts … Registered two assists on the season … Provided the assist on the Cavaliers’ second goal in a 3-2 loss to Barton (9-18-21) … Again, assisted on JCCC second goal in a 4-2 victory at Crowder (10-9-21) … Fired eight shots on goal for a shots-on-goal percentage of .615.

Freshman Year 2020

Played in seven games, four as a starter … Was part of JCCC’s defensive pool that allowed 41 goals, a goals against average of 3.40 with one shutout … Fired six shots one on goal for a shots-on-goal percentage of .167 … Took a season high three shots in a 2-1 win over Crowder (4-26-21).

High School

Was a two-year starter for coach Adam Cogswell at Lansing High School, Lansing, Kan. … Graduated 2020 … Played club soccer for KC Rush coached by Dauda Kante from 2016-19 and KC Fusion coached by JCCC assistant Jimmy Perez in 2020 … Helped KC Fusion to a second-place finish in the State Cup tournament.
