JCCC men’s soccer handles Crowder 4-2

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County men's soccer team took care of business early, netting all four of their goals in the first 37 minutes for a 4-2 victory over Crowder October 9th. With the win, the Cavaliers improve to 6-7-0 on the season. 

Crowder actually got the scoring going, finding the back of the net in the first minute of the contest, but Alan Lopez tied the score in the sixth minute off a feed from goalkeeper Cole Stewart. 

Three minutes later, Lopez give JCCC a lead they would not relinquish. Paul Choi earned the assist. 

Ashton Owen scored off a feed from Ismaiel Cisse in the 29th minute and Evan Burns make it 4-1 in the 37 minute with the assist going to Lopez, who leads the team with eight goals, nine assists and 25 points. Lopez leads the conference in assists, tied for the lead in points and ranks second in goals scored. 

Crowder scored a goal in the final minute to make it 4-2. 

Stewart improved to 5-2-0 between the pipes.

JCCC will travel across town to take on Kansas City Kansas on Wednesday, October 11, then turn around and host the Blue Devils on Saturday, October 16 at 5 p.m.
