OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman outfielder Emily Fox has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Division II Conference Softball Player of the Week for week five.
Fox had a big two-game series at Allen Community College last week. She hit .800 (4-for-5) with a double, two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in eight runs. In the opening 8-0 win, she had three hits all for extra bases (1 double, 2 HR) and drove in seven runs. He two-home runs and seven RBI tie the second-best single game in team history.
For the season, Fox is hitting .444 (12-for-27) with eight runs scored and 12 driven in. Her .444 average is second on the team, and she leads in runs scored and RBI.
