JCCC’s Morris named KJCCC D-II Softball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore outfielder Eve Morris has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Division II Softball Player of the Week for week three, announced by the conference office today.  Cloud County's Kiera Brack was selected the Pitcher of the Week. 

Morris had a solid week at the plate for plate last week to help the No. 12-ranked Lady Cavaliers to series sweeps over Iowa Western Community College and Barton Community College.  She batted .714 (10-for-14) with four doubles, a home run, a walk, seven runs scored and six driven in. She also stole three bases. 

Through eight games this season, Morris is hitting at a .519 clip (14-for-27) with five doubles, two homers, 12 runs and nine RBI. Her 14 hits, two home runs, 12 runs scored and nine RBI currently lead the team and she is second in batting average and doubles.
