Sarah Plowman ATC enters his second year at Johnson County Community College as an assistant athletic trainer. She joined the staff in the fall of 2022.

In her first year on staff, Plowman was part of four national tournament participants, including a top-five finish, three region championships and six conference championships.

Prior to her arrival at JCCC, Plowman worked at MidAmerica Nazarene University overseeing multiple sports and athletic trainers. While at MNU over five and half years, her primary sports included being the head athletic trainer for the football and softball programs.  During that time, she also worked in the healthcare administration field overseeing health records for patient admission and the marketing director for a skilled nursing facility.

Before MNU she Plowman spent three years at Independence Community College as the head athletic trainer. During her time at ICCC, Plowman also taught many classes and helped to develop the pre-athletic training program for students. 

A native of Kansas, Plowman completed her Bachelor of Science in athletic training at Washburn University and her Master of Science in Health, Human Performance and Recreation through Pittsburg State University. Plowman holds certifications as an EMT. She is a current member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Kansas Athletic Trainers’ Society.
