The No. 12 Johnson County baseball team swept a four-game series with Labette last week, to improve to 16-4 in conference play and into sole possession of first in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference East Division.

– The No. 17-ranked Johnson County softball team opened Kansas Jayhawk Community College Division II play by sweeping Labette at home Thursday afternoon. The Cavaliers (15-10/2-0) opened with a 10-4 triumph followed by a 9-1 victory that ended after five innings.
