Travis Chambers ranks among the all-time pitchers in JCCC history.  Chambers was a two-time All-East Jayhawk Conference selection and an All-Region VI pick during his career from 1984 and 1985.  He finished his career with a 15-3 record, and his 15 wins tied JCCC Hall of Famer Bob Downs for the most victories in team history.  In 1985, Chambers started a school record 13 games, completing 12, also a program record.  He finished with a 9-3 mark and his nine wins tied the second-best season at JCCC.  His 16 career complete games were a school record as well.  He also set team standards for season and career strikeouts with 84 and 123.  Chambers helped his team win conference and region championships in 1984, and post a runner-up conference finish in 1985 while registering a school record 48 victories.  Following his career, Chambers was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies.  His rookie season, he was given the Carpenter Award, an honor given to the top rookie in the Phillies farm system.  Chambers played professionally for eight years with the Phillies, Expos and White Sox organizations.  Chambers also earned his degree in marketing/business from Webster University.
