Cavaliers improve to 21-0 with 11-0 shutout over Baker

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Like the Energy Bunny, the Johnson County baseball team 'keeps going and going and going! The 7th-ranked Cavaliers improved to 21-0 on the season Thursday with an 11-0 shutout over Baker University. 

JCCC hitters pounded out 13 hits, led by three doubles off the bat of freshmen catcher Nate Stevens.  His three doubles tie the single-game record at JCCC. He also drove in three runs and scored twice. 

Right fielder and leadoff hitter Bryce Mitchell drove in two runs, along with left fielder Brayden Sites and third baseman Anthony Slaughter

Right-hander Matt Ronnebaum was masterful on the bump. He allowed just one hit and struck out seven Wildcats to up his season mark to 5-0. His five win leads the conference and he ranks second in ERA at 1.44 and third in strikeouts with 34. 

Right-hander Hunter Edwards worked the final inning, allowing a walk with two strikeouts.
