Freshman Year 2018

Was one of the aces on the 2018 pitching staff … Earned All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference second-team honors … Made 14 starts, completing eight games, and finished with a record of 7-5 with 105 strikeouts in 81.0 innings on the hill … His 4.11 ERA was best among the starting staff … Ranked fourth in the conference and 18th in the NJCAA in strikeouts … Also ranked sixth in the conference in strikeouts per game (11.67) and sixth in ERA … Had two 15-strikeout performances, the first in a 5-2 2in over Coffeyville (3-9-18) and the second in a one-hit, 9-0 win over Highland (3-30-18) … Those 15 strikeout efforts rank as the second-best single game performances in team history … His 105 strikeouts rank third on JCCC’s season chart, and are just three shy of the record … Additionally, his 14 starts tie for fifth most at JCCC, and his eight complete games tie for sixth and led both the Kansas Jayhawk Conference and NJCAA … Earned his first victory pitching five scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in a 16-5 win over Rockhurst JV (2-8-18) … Was selected the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Pitcher or the Week for week seven after posting a complete game 2-1 win over Independence (3-17-18) … Allowed just one run with six strikeouts in a 2-1 complete game victory at Kansas City Kansas (4-21-18) … Allowed one run off three hits with eight strikeouts in a 7-1 win over Neosho County (4-28-18) … Allowed just one run off four hits with four strikeouts in an 11-1 complete game victor over Cloud County in the first round of the Region VI Tournament (5-5-18).
