Freshman Year 2017

Played for Black Hawk College and coach Arnie Chavera his freshman season …  Helped the Braves post a 35-17 record and an Arrowhead Conference title with a 16-4 record … Made nine appearances on the hill, five as a starter … Finished 4-0 with one save … Struck out 30 batters in 27.1 innings and posed an earned run average of 4.33 … Made his collegiate debut in relief against Northampton (3-13-17) … Allowed two hits, no runs and with four strikeouts in a 12-4 victory … Earned his first start and victory in a 13-2 win at Sauk Valley, allowing two runs with five strikeouts in three innings of work … Set season highs for innings pitched with six and strikeouts with seven in his second win of the year, a  5-3 victory over Olive-Harvey (4-20-17) … Allowed just one hit and no runs over four innings to earn a 2-1 win at Joliet (4-29-17) … Allowed three runs of five hits over five innings, and struck out three to notch a 9-4 win at Morton, his fourth of the season (5-6-17) … Pitched the final out and picked up a save in an 8-4 win at Carl Sandburg (5-13-17).

High School  

Started his senior year for coach Mike Hill  at Free State High School, Lawrence, Kan. … Graduated 2017 … Earned second-team All-Sunflower League and honorable mention All-State in 2017 … Posted a record of 3-0 with 16 strikeouts in 12 innings and an earned run average of 1.36 while helping the Firebirds to a Sunflower League title … Also earned two varsity letters in basketball … Helped Free State to Sunflower League and 6A Regional titles his junior year … President’s list and three-time honor roll student.
