Trehey selected NJCAA Pitcher of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – One day after being selected the KJCCC Pitcher of the Week, Johnson County sophomore right-handed pitcher Danny Trehey was been selected the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Pitcher of the Week

Trehey hurled the 10th no-hitter in team history in a 22-0 victory at Labette last week. He faced one batter over the minimum while striking out 15 of the 22 batters he faced. His 15-strikeout effort is a career high and ties the third best game in team history. 

For the season, Trehey has made eight appearances and stands 2-1 with one save. He also has 35 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched, and an earned run average of 0.47.  His is 3-2 with 11 saves over his three-season career.
