High School 

Was a four-year starter for coach Spencer Lee at Waunakee High School, Waunakee, Wis. … As a senior was named as the first-team catcher on the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association’s all-state team, a unanimous all-district choice, a first-team selection on the Badger North all-conference team and named the player of the year in the Badger North and by Wisconsin Baseball Central … Named the Wisconsin State Journal’s All-Area Baseball Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019 … Also received national recognition, chosen as a third-team pick on the USA Today All-USA Team … Was a unanimous all-conference pick as a junior … Was two-time team MVP …  Helped lead Waunakee to a 21-6 record and a WIAA Division I State Championship as a junior, while batting .512 with eight doubles, three triples, eight home runs and a school record 38 driven in … As a senior, led the Warriors to the Bader North Conference crown and another state title while batting .419 and set program records with nine home runs and 31 walks … Also knocked in 31 runs and had a 1.052 slugging percentage … In the state title game made a game-changing play with a pick-off in the bottom of the fifth preserving a one-run lead … Extended the lead in the sixth with an RBI triple and a run score for a 3-0 lead and eventual win … Received an invitation to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Show played at Petco Park in San Diego in July following his senior year … Was a two-starter in football and earned all-conference honors both seasons … Helped the Warriors to a state championship in 2018.
