JCCC sweeps KJCCC baseball week three honors

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College's duo of Jack Mosh (player) and Ryan Borberg (pitcher) swept the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Baseball honors for week three, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Mosh, a sophomore infielder (Missouri/St. Pius X) helped the No. 8 Cavaliers take the first two games of a four-game series against Southwestern on Sunday afternoon. In the opener, Mosh had a single and double, drove in a run and stole a base in a 12-3 win. He followed going 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and three driven in. Overall, he was 5-for-9 (.556) at the plate. For the season, he is hitting a .368 (14-for-38) with 10 RBI. 

Borberg, a sophomore right-hander (Illinois/Shawnee Mission Northwest) earned his first victory of the season, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out 11 batters over five innings of work. His 11 strikeouts are the most by a JCCC pitcher this season.
