JCCC’s Brewer makes Prep Baseball Report JUCO Midseason Top-100 list

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College designated hitter/infielder Dagen Brewer was among the top-100 players to make the Prep Baseball Report midseason list. The sophomore out of Topeka, Kan., was tabbed the 29th best player through the halfway point of the 2024 season.

Brewer currently batting .430 (52-for-121) with 14 doubles, a triple, 13 home runs, 20 walks, 44 runs and 59 RBI. He leads the team in doubles, homers, extra base hits and RBI. He is second in batting average, tied for second in hits, tied for third in runs and fourth in walks. He also leads the team in multiple RBI games with 15 and is tied for the lead in multiple-hit games with 15.

In the Kansas Jayhawk Conference, Brewer is third in RBI, fourth in doubles and is fifth in batting average and home runs.

Earlier this season in a 15-6 win at Fort Scott, Brewer set program single game records for home runs with four and RBI with nine. One of his home runs was a grand slam. His four homers tied the game record for conference and nine RBI tie the third most in a game in conference history. 

For his career, Brewer is hitting a .415 clip (113-for-272) with 28 doubles, two triples, 23 home runs, 53 extra base hits, 43 walks, 89 runs and 116 RBI. He also has 36 multi-hit and 31 multi-RBI games.  Those numbers already have ranked among the all-time career leaders in program history.
