Roe and Golden selected KJCCC East Division Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for week 1

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Opening their 2025 season with a 3-1 series win over Amarillo College, the Johnson County Community College baseball team was led by the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Baseball Players of the Week in 2025 with sophomore first baseman Easton Roe earning Player of the Week and sophomore Josiah Golden picking up the Pitcher of the Week award.


Roe had an amazing start to his sophomore season as the number five-ranked Cavaliers took three of four games over Amarillo College. Roe hit .571 (8-for-14) with two doubles, a triple, four home runs, six runs scored while driving in 10 runs. the sophomore had a home run in three of the four games of the series, including a multi-home run game in game three of the series (18-5 win). 


Golden picked up a victory at Amarillo in the Cavaliers' season opener. The right-hander allowed three runs (all unearned), surrendered two hits and struck out five batters over four innings pitched in a 9-3 Cavalier victory.

Twice during his freshman season Golden was selected as the KJCCC East Pitcher of the Week. He also earned All-East Jayhawk Conference honorable mention after finishing 10-1 with 80 strikeouts over 65 innings.
