Ryker Edwards named Week 3 KJCCC D-II East Baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced its weekly honors and Johnson County Community College outfielder Ryker Edwards was named East Division Baseball Player of the Week for Week three.

Edwards helped the fifth-ranked Cavaliers earn a split against Metropolitan last week. Edwards hit .426 (3-for-7) and slugged .571 with a double, three runs scored, and three RBI while also drawing two walks. 

Last season, Edwards earned KjCCC East Division first-team and All-Region 6 second-team. He was also selected as the KJCCC East Player of the Week in Week 13.

Edwards batted .350 (56-for-160) with 10 doubles, a team high six triples, nine home runs, 48 runs scored and 52 driven in. He tied for the team lead with 24 stolen bases, only getting caught one time. His six triples also tied for the most in the conference, and rank tied for 12th in the NJCAA.
