
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced its weekly honors and for the second consecutive week Johnson County Community College outfielder Bo Shinkle was named East Division Baseball Player of the Week for Week seven.
Shinkle helped lead the eighth-ranked Cavaliers to big sweep over Highland this past weekend, batting .643 on the week (9-for-14) with a double, three home runs, nine runs scored, three stolen bases, and 11 RBI. In the weekend doubleheader against the Scotties, Shinkle blasted a three-run homer to help JCCC comeback for an 11-10 win and followed in game two with a three-run shot and a sacrifice RBI in a 14-1 win. For the season, Shinkle is batting .493 with 28 RBI.
