Women’s soccer blasts Garden City 9-0

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County women's soccer team had its best offensive match of the season, busting out for a 9-0 home victory over Garden City Saturday afternoon. 

Freshman forward Darrian Gordon netted her second hat trick in last three matches to lead the way. She now has netted eight goals on the season which ties her for third in the conference. 

Sophomore Tio Krizogono scored twice, including the game-winner, and dished out an assist.   Sophomore midfielder Gail Logan and freshman midfielder Athena Dericotti each scored a goal and had two assists, and freshmen forwards Brock Allen and Riley Porter each netted a goal. Allen also had an assist. 

Sophomore Olivia Ways and freshman Reyna Espino shared the shutout.  Ways got the start and two shots in the first half. Espino also saved two shots in her 45 minutes in the net. 

Johnson County (5-5) travels across town to take on No. 8 and undefeated Kansas City Kansas (9-0) on Wednesday, May 5 at 5 p.m.
