JCCC women’s soccer move up to No. 8 in NJCAA D-II Poll

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College women's soccer team moved up one spot to No. 8 in this week's NJCAA Division II rankings. This is the highest the program has been ranked since October 27, 2010, when they held the No. 5 spot.

Holmes Community College remained the No. 1 ranked team followed by Phoenix College, Northwest Mississippi Community College, Jones College and Northeast Community College. Also earning top 20 rankings were Neosho County Community College and Allen Community Colleges at Nos. 14 and 17.

Johnson County (9-2-2) has five games remaining on their regular season schedule with four at home.  They begin that final stretch hosting No. 17-ranked Allen Community College on Wednesday, October 5 at 5 p.m. The Cavaliers defeated the Red Devils earlier this season, 3-1. 

They travel to Hesston on Saturday, October 7 followed by home matches against Pratt (October 11), Southeast (October. 14) and Metropolitan (October 17).
