JCCC’s Wallace and Williams named KJCCC D-II Women’s Soccer Athletes of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College women's soccer players Maya Wallace (Shawnee, Kan.) and Frankie Williams were named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Division II Player and Goalkeeper of the Week for week seven as announced by the office Tuesday.

Wallace tallied five points last week for the Cavaliers with a goal and two assists in a 6-0 victory against Central and an assist in a 1-1 tie at Neosho County. For the season the forward out of Shawnee Mission South has five goals scored with five assists for 15 total points. 

Williams was near perfect in goal last week, allowing just one goal in seven shots faced. She recorded her fourth shutout on the season against Central which ranks second in KJCCC D-II. For the year, Williams stands 4-1-2 with a goals against average of 0.71, also second-best in the conference and 12th overall in NJCAA D-II play.
