Stallbaumer named NJCAA D-II Offensive Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Just three weeks into the 2024 season, Johnson County Community College setter Taylin Stallbaumer has etched her name in the annuals of the program. 

The freshman out of Seamon High School in Topeka has been selected the D-II Kansas Jayhawk Conference Setter of the Week in all three weeks so far, and now she has added the National Junior College Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week to her list of accolades. 

Stallbaumer is just the fourth player in program history to be selected Offensive Player of the Week by the NJCAA, joining Lauren Kracl (2005), Preecy Seever (2013) and Anna Hester (2018).

Stallbaumber had another big week leading the Lady Cavaliers offensive attack by producing 156 assists, an average of 8.21 per set. She topped double digits in all five matches, highlighted by a season-high 45 assists in a 3-1 win over No. 3 Parkland. Stallbaumer also tallied 52 digs, twice recording double figures. 

On the season, she has produced double figures in assists in all 10 matches and topped double digits in digs four times.  She currently ranks third in the conference in total assists (297) and in assists-per-set (8.25).
