Mozley and Hudler power JCCC to 7-4 win over Metropolitan

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County second baseman Blake Mozley belted a two-run home run, and center fielder Will Hudler ripped a two-run double to help power the Cavaliers to a 7-4 victory over Metropolitan on Tuesday afternoon at the JCCC Baseball Complex.

Mozley is batting .374 on the season and leads the team with 27 total RBI. Hudler is hitting at a .390 clip, second-best on the squad 

Shortstop Brevon Lee had two hits and drove in a run, right fielder Nick Iannantone collected two hits and scored a run and left fielder Cooper Combs has a single and a walk scored twice for the Cavaliers. 

Johnson County used eight pitchers in the game.  Right-hander Danny Trehey earned the victory allowing no runs, two hits with three strikeouts in his 1.2 innings of work. 

Metropolitan built an early 2-0 lead with singe run in the top of the second and third innings. Johnson County took the lead for good in the bottom half of the third, plating three runs. JCCC added single runs in the fifth and sixth and two more in the seventh. 

The Cavaliers open a four-game series against Pratt on Thursday with two games on the road.  They return homer on Saturday, April 2 for two games against the Beavers.
