OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the third time this season, Johnson County Community College sophomore guard JaQuaylon Mays has been named the Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference Player of the Week. He also earned the honor in weeks three and six.
In his team's only action last week, Johnson County sophomore Mays helped lead the 7th ranked Cavaliers to an 86-82 overtime win at Metropolitan. May recorded his first career double-double with 21points, a career-high 14 rebounds and four assists. On the season, Mays is averaging 16.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
