Second half rally leads to a 66-57 win at Hesston

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Down one halftime, the No.3-ranked Johnson County men's basketball rallied for a 66-57 win over Hesston at the Yost Center Saturday afternoon. The victory is the Cavaliers 12th straight, tying the third-longest in team history. 

Sophomore guard Jaycson Bereal lead the Cavaliers with 15 points. He was 5-of-9 shooting, with a 3-pointer, and 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also flirted with a double-double, grabbing nine rebounds. 

Sophomore forward Jaland Whitehead flirted with getting his ninth double-double of the season. He finished with nine points and 12 rebounds. 

Freshman point guard Desi Williams contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals., and sophomore guard Bing Haung came in with nine points, four boards and four assists. 

The Cavaliers will look to improve on its win streak with two home conference games this week.  They host Highland on Wednesday night, March 10 at 7:30 p.m., and Labette on Saturday,  March 13 at 4 p.m.
