Fast start leads to a 92-59 win over Baker JV

0VERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 10-ranked Johnson County men's basketball outscored Baker University JV 50-23 in the first half, then cruised to a 92-59 victory over the Wildcats on Tuesday night at JCCC Gymnasium. 

Five players finished in double figures, led by guard Tymer Jackson with 14 points. He was 6-of-8 shooting and 2-3 from the free throw line. He had four rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Desi Williams and Cory Davila followed with 13 and 12 points respectively. Williams also had three rebounds, two assists and three steals. Davila was perfect on the night, hitting all five shot attempts, including a 3-pointer, and a free throw attempt.

Rounding out the scoring was Xavier Kahube with 11 and Seth Chargois with 10.

All-American forward Jaland Whitehead was held to six points, but he led the team in rebounding with seven. 

The Cavaliers (3-0) host Iowa Lakes Community College on Friday night November 12 at 7 p.m., and Southwestern Community College on Saturday November 13 at 6 p.m.
