Men’s basketball falls in overtime at North Central Missouri, 93-91

OVERLAND PAR, Kan. – Johnson County sophomores Tymer Jackson, Ryan Gordon and Xavier Kahube combined for 73 points, but it wasn't enough as the Cavaliers lost 93-91 in overtime at North Central Missouri College Sunday evening. This was JCCC's second road overtime loss this season.

Trailing by 12 points with just over 12 minutes to play, Johnson County rallied to force overtime only to fall short in the extra period.  

Jackson led the Cavaliers with a season-high 28 points hitting 11-of-27 shots, including three 3-pointer and 3-of-4 free throws.

Gordon nailed 9-of-13 field goal attempts and was 5-of-7 at the line for a season-high 23 points, and Kahube posted his four double-double of the season while finishing with season-highs in points with 22 and rebounds with 14.

The Pirates were led by Kam Bevel with 33 points and Nelson Reynolds with 25 points.    

Johnson County (6-3) is in action twice this week, both games at home. They host Link Year Prep on Wednesday, November 30 at 7 p.m., and Kansas Wesleyan University JV on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m.
