JCCC men’s basketball falls on the road to Fort Scott, 92-71.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County men's basketball team took a step back in their quest to capture the 2022-23 Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference title, falling on the road to Fort Scott 92-71. JCCC is now a game back of Allen and Kanas City Kansas in the standings. 

The Cavaliers trailed by only five points at halftime, but Fort Scott took control in the second half and pulled away for the 21-point victory. 

Four players finished in double figures for the Cavaliers, led by sophomore guard Tymer Jackson and sophomore forward Ryan Gordon, both finished with 17 points. Sophomore guard Josh Jordan followed with 12 points, and sophomore guard Desi Williams added 10. 

Johnson County (18-7/6-3) travels to Parsons, Kan., on Wednesday to take on Labette (12-9/4-5) at 7:30 p.m.  Jackson enters the contest just 20 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
