Five score in double figures to lead JCCC men’s basketball in win at Neosho County

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Five players scored in double figures as the Johnson County men's basketball team improved to 20-3 following a 75-62 win at Neosho County Saturday afternoon.

Starters Brandon Mann, Massi Malterer, Jordan Nichols and Donald Bangham, Jr., and reserve Traymond Willis-Shaw all hit the double-figure mark in the Cavaliers' triumph. 

Mann scored a team-high 15 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists. Malterer, Nichols and Willis-Shaw each poured in 13 points, and Bangham, Jr., added 12 points, four assists and three steals.

Kyler Mann flirted with a double-double finishing with eight points and game-high nine rebounds.

JCCC's victory, coupled with Kansas City Kansas' loss to Hesson, put the Cavaliers in sole possession of first place in the KJCCC D-II standings. Johnson County continues conference play with week with a road trip to Highland on Wednesday, February 7 followed by a home matchup with KKCCC on Saturday, February 10. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m.
