JCCC’ Brandon Mann named KJCCC D-II Player of the Week for week 11

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College forward Brandon Mann has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for week 11. He was also honored in the eighth week of the season.

The sophomore out of Tulsa, Oklahoma was the top scorer for the Cavaliers in his team's two conference victories last week. In Wednesday night's 72-60 win at Allen, Mann scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. The sophomore followed by pouring in 20 points in a 92-57 home win over Labette. Against the Cardinals, Mann went eight-of-eight shooting and was four-of-five at the charity stripe. 

Mann currently leads the Cavaliers in scoring averaging 14.4 points per game, which ranks him sixth among conference players. He is also connecting on 55.2 percent of his shot attempts, third-best in the conference. 

Mann and his teammate travel to Fort Scott to take on the Greyhounds on Wednesday night then return home to host Hesston on Saturday, February 1 at 4 p.m.
