JCCC forward Brandon Mann named second-team NJCAA All-America

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College men's basketball player Brandon Mann was named second-team All-America Division II by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), becoming the 24th all-time in program history and the 21st at the Division II level.

Mann was also named All-Region 6 first-team and All-Kansas Jayhawk Community Colleg Conference (KJCCC) Division II first-team last month. He also was selected KJCCC D-II Player of the Week twice, earning the honor in week eight and 11

Mann helped Johnson County to undefeated conference championship season, a 31-6 overall mark and an eight-place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Mann led the team in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game, which ranked seventh in the conference. He also averaged 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Mann made 56.1 percent of his shot attempts (180-of-321) which led the conference. He led the team and conference in made free throws with 107. Mann reached double figures scoring in 26 games, had double digit rebound four times and four double-double games. He was JCCC's top scorer in 13 games, top rebounder in six, led in assists eight times and seven times in steals.

Mann finished his career with 940 points for an average of 13.8 per game. His 940 points rank 16th all-time on JCCC's career scoring chart. He scored in double figures 50 times, which ranks him 10th all-time. Mann helped JCCC to a record of 59-13 over his two seasons which ranks as the most wins over two seasons in program history. He played in two national tournaments, tallying 80 points and 39 rebounds, which rank fifth and tied for third all-time in tournament play by a JCCC player. He also ranks second all-time tournament history with 34 field goals made and tied for seventh with eight steals.
