No. 12 Cavaliers rally in second half for a 2-1 win over Pratt

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 12-ranked Johnson County Community College men's soccer team netted two second half goals to post a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Pratt Community College Wednesday night at the JCCC Soccer Complex.

Trailing 1-nil at halftime, sophomore forward Jacksyn McIntrye (Blue Springs, Mo.) scored the equalizer in the 51st minute off a feed from sophomore midfielder Ryan Masterson (Overland Park, Kan.).  It was Mcintyre's team leading ninth goal of the season. He ranks tied for third in the conference in goals scored and third solely in points with 22. 

Freshman midfielder Dominic Zuniga (Wichita, Kan.), this week KJCCC D-II Player of the Week, gave the Cavaliers its first lead and what proved to be the game winning goal in 75th minute. It is his third game winner this year which ties for the conference lead. It was his sixth overall goal on the year. Freshman midfielder Brian Aleman (Goddard, Kan.) provided the assist. 

Freshman goalkeeper Brody Macoubrie (De Soto, Kan.) earned the victory and improved to 9-3-3 on the season, saving two of the three shots he faced. Macoubrie just recently picked up his fifth KJCCC D-II Goalkeeper of the Week selection this season. 

Johnson County (11-3-3) closes out its regular season on Saturday, October 14, when they host Southeast Community College at 4 p.m. JCCC defeated Southeast 2-0 earlier this season.
