JCCC men’s soccer back at No. 7 in latest NJCAA D-II Poll

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College men's soccer team (8-2-0) returned to the No. 7 spot in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Poll after spending the previous two weeks in the No. 8 position.  The Cavaliers were the No. 7 ranked team in the first and second weeks of September.

The top five remained the same with Iowa Lakes Community College (7-0-3) holding down the top spot followed by Phoenix College (9-0-1), Northeast Community College (11-1-1), Pima Community College (9-1-0) and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (7-1-2).

Kansas Jayhawk Conference Division II leader Neosho County Community College (6-1-2) moved up a spot to No. 6. The Panthers come to town on Saturday, October 5 for conference clash. Neosho County handed the Cavaliers a 4-2 setback in Chanute on September 11. Prior to hosting Neosho County, JCCC will host Central Community College on Wednesday, October 2 at 6 p.m. 

Through its first 10 matches, the Cavaliers rank ninth in the NJCAA in goals scored with 37, 11th in assists with 31 and 10th in points with 105.
