JCCC women’s soccer down Neosho County 4-0

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County freshman forward Riley Porter and sophomore midfielder Kayla Ambrose each netted two goals to power the Lady Cavaliers women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory at Neosho County on Wednesday evening.  The victory evened JCCC's season mark to 6-6-0. 

Porter got Johnson County on the board early off a feed from Tio Krizogono at the 11:33 mark of the first period.  Ambrose made it 2-0 in  the 29th minute. Darrian Gordon picked up second assists of the season and her team leading 18th points. 

JCCC's next two scores came in the final 10 minutes of the match. Ambrose scored in the 81st minute off an assist from Morgan LaPlante, and Porter made 4-nil in the 88th minute with an assisted goal. 

Oliva Ways and Reyna Espino each played a half in net to earn the shared shutout. 

Johnson County will close out its regular season on Saturday, when they host Butler at 7 p.m. The Grizzlies handed JCCC a 2-0 loss back on April 21 in El Dorado.
